Update.

Hello!

Just a quick update for you all.

Firstly, thank you for all your support with this little old blog of mine which I started earlier this year, it means so much to me and I have enjoyed logging on seeing all those page views as well as comments on my Instagram photos.

As you know when are entering the festive season, and like most of you I am getting ready for Christmas - yes I know it's November but when you have a big family it takes planning. I want to apologise for not updating this blog regularly, but their has been a lot going on in my personal life as well as Christmas planning, sorting and organising.

Therefore, this is a note to say that I will not be updating my blog for the rest of the year. I have not been trying out new products regularly recently, as I have been trying to up my older stuff before using all the new stuff.

However, I will be back in the New Year with regular reviews as well as a few other posts I am planning to do - not just all about the products reviews.

If you want to see what I am getting up to over the festive period then please follow my Instagram: @beckyscahill where I will be posting a lot of pictures over Christmas - including Lush products I am using - just not blogging about!

So until 2016,

Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year and I will see you back here in January :)

Thank you so much again,

Love, Becky x

Lush Winter 2014: Christmas Eve Bubble Bar

Apart from Candy Mountain, this particular bubble bar was my absolute favourite from the Christmas collection that Lush brought out. I was looking forward to it being brought back this year, but I was devastated to discover that it was not making it return. Fortunately my lovely sister managed to grab a few off eBay in order to enjoy the wonders of this bubble bar this year. This is Christmas Eve Bubble Bar.

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar

Oh me oh my, this bubble bar sums up Christmas for me. When I used it for the last year I was in heaven and loved using thought the christmas period - and a few months after as I grabbed some in the Boxing Day Sale. However, I used them all up with the hope they were coming back this year.

I was really disappointed when Lush did not bring it back, I personally thought it was quite a popular product amongst Lushies. As I have already mentioned, my sister grabbed me a couple of eBay which were from last year - so I still get to use one on Christmas Eve!

This product contains: Irish Moss Powder, Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil and Gardenia Extract. It smells incredible, and that scent continues once you have crumbled it under the running water. It also creates a wonderful colour, which is a lovely Christmassy green in your bath water - which is lovely to soak in. After using this bubble bar my skin feels amazing, as well as relaxed and ready to slip on my christmas pyjamas ready for Santa to visit.

Hopefully Christmas 2016, Lush will realise their mistake and bring it back once more. I am also hoping that it might pop up in the Lush Kitchen the weeks leading up to Christmas.

This bath bomb was: £2.95.

Lush Winter 2015: Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb

Overwhelmed by the Lush Winter Range this year, with a lot of new ones but of course some old favourites. One that took time to come out, was the Luxury Lush Pud which I was thrilled was back as it is one of my favourites.

Luxury Lush Pud

Now, this will sounds weird, as I do not like the Twilight Bath Bomb, which is a year round product that is available at Lush. However, even though this bath bomb shares it scent with Twilight Bath Bomb, I prefer this bath bomb. I find the Twilight Bath Bomb overpowering, whereas this product has more of a subtle scent which I really enjoy and find comforting especially as it is getting colder here in the uk.

This product contains: Lavender Oil, Tonka Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil and Gardenia Extract. When using this bath bomb I can definitely smell the Lavender - which is really good for nights when sleeping can be a bit tricky. The Lavender is not overpowering and I personally think the right amount for a relaxing bath time experience.

Not only does this product smell amazing, it also creates a display in the bath tub when dropped into the water. They lovely pink as well as the other pops of colour create beautiful bath art which merges into a deep fuchsia colour. I used this bath bomb on its own and usually I like the add a bubble bar in order to create bubbles but this worked all on it own and it was amazing. I am pleased to have another in my collection.

The only thing negative I would say about this product, is I don't know if I am imagining it but I personally think this particular bath bomb is smaller than last years - but it still packs a punch!

For this bath bomb: £3.95.

Lush Kitchen: Temple of Truth Bubble Bar

I find the Lush Kitchen touch and go. I love looking on a Sunday night at what they are offering in the kitchen each week and have been lucky to pick up a few good ones since using the Kitchen from the beginning on this year. When this particular bubble bar appeared in the Kitchen, my sister picked up a couple for me and I was so pleased she did as I have fallen in love with the scent and the colour.

Temple of Truth Bubble Bar

The shape of this bubble bar reminds me so much of the ever so popular Lush Christmas item - Candy Mountain, but in this case it a gorgeous bright blue colour. When I first smelt this bubble bar, instantly fell in love with the fresh and uplifting scent that is bubble bar presented.

I'm a sucker for bath bombs and bubble bars that give that fresh feeling and give off a fresh aroma. This bubble bar contains: Sandalwood Oil, Guicacwood Oil and Rosewood Oil. Which creates a lovely, fresh clean smell and well as effect when it is added to the bath water.

For a bubble bar, which is plain in colour and adds a lovely wash of bright blue to the bath water, it definitely is not a boring and simple bubble bar. I like the simplistic design and scent to this bubble bar, and really enjoyed using in the bath tub.

Even though we are in the midst of winter, and typically you want to use fresh scented bubble bars during the summer months but this is a really good for the winter months, because after being wrapped up in all the layers, the idea of a fresh feeling bath at the end of the day before getting cosy in bed on a winter's night. I am so pleased that I have another one of these in my stash for later on in the winter.

For this bubble bar: £3.75.

Fizzbanger Bath Bomb

Having thought that I had at least tried all the bath bomb worth trying in the original collection I discovered there was one that I had neglected. To be honest, I think it was the original look and smell of the bath bomb that I did not appeal to me - therefore I overlooked it. However, since I have been visiting the Lush Oxford Street store, I decided to pick it up and give it a whirl. Since trying it, falling in love with it, I have picked up another one. This is the Fizzbanger Bath Bomb.

Fizzbanger Bath Bomb

When you see this bath bomb for the first time, you do not expect it to be that interesting - it's just a plain yellow bath bomb - but this bath bomb has a secret inside. When this bath bomb is launched into the bath water, it reveals a beautiful blue than when mixed with the yellow creates a lovely sea green colour that swirls around the bath tub. It is amazing, definitely fun to watch before stepping into it. Another thing, that is surprising when it comes to this bath bomb is the scent. Initially when you look at it, with it being yellow you assume it is going to be a citrusy fragrance but like the colour the scent is a huge amazement. The scent of this bath bomb goes along the lines of cinnamon and toffee apple - which makes this particular bath bomb really warming rather than refreshing.

This bath bomb contains: Popping Candy, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil and Oak Moss Extract. I'm usually not one for bath bomb that contain Cinnamon, I do not really go for spicy scents, however, this cinnamon scent is more uplifting and relaxing which is what I really enjoy and get from this bath bomb and made me make sure I had another one in my collection for when I wanted that feeling again.

Overall, this is a really enjoyable bath bomb from their main collection. I really do enjoy finding scents from their overall collection to enjoy rather than always relying on scents and experiences from their limited edition collections. Therefore, you are never disappointed or missing out.

For this bath bomb: £3.35.
