How I Store My Lush :)

When I became passionate about Lush, and the items I would pick up and place in my basket doubled, the issue about where to store them and how to store them became a problem. Shower Gels, Shower Jellies, Face Masks etc were easy, they came in their own pot or bottle - whereas Bubble Bars and Bath Bombs became tricky. Lush pride themselves on having naked packaging - I mean they even changed how they delivered Lush to your door when you order from the Kitchen or Online. But, unless I was going to have five baths a day there needed to be a solution.

"Bubble Wands & Reusable Bubble Bars"

Now, with the new Lush Oxford Street opening, there is the introduction of loads of new bubble bars and some of them are reusable - just like this one pictured called Windmill Bubble Bar - and yes it does spin like a windmill! If you are familiar with the Magic Wand Reusable Bar - which comes out at christmas you can get about four to five baths - or even more if you can resist to hold it all under the tap. In order to store these I use Cling Film - which I wrap around the bubble bar part - leaving the handle free.  This is what I have found to work - in order for it to keep its original smell and not rub off onto other bath bomb or bubble bars that I am storing in the same place as the reusable bubble bars. For The Windmill Reusable Bubble Bar £5.95

"Bath Melts & Oils"

The new Bath Melts or as they are now called Bath Oils are smaller than the original Bath Melts - and only costing £2.00 each storing these is a little bit harder. Whilst in Ikea, my mum spotted the jar picture and said it would be perfect for sorting the smaller items of my entire lush collection. The jar is perfect for sorting all the little Bath Oils (Melts) that I got when I went to the Lush Oxford Street Store. Now I put all of mine in together - I don't individual wrap them in cling film. My main concern was stopping them from melting even before I get the chance to use them. The Jar is from the ACKAN range for £5.00

 "Bath Bombs & Ballistics"

Bath Bombs & Ballistics I find the easier to store. For these I simply wrap them in cling film and they sit in a basket together. The only thing I try to do is keep the collections together - for example if they are part of their limited edition collections such as Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day etc. I cling film them in order to keep there smell and so they last longer. The only problem is they keep there smell extremely well and especially if they are a ballistics they work well but the only thing that happens is the colour fades because of the light. For me as long as they still fizz and make my bath time magical then I am a happy bunny. Love Locket (pictured) was part of the Valentine's Day range for this year and was kindly brought for me on Ebay by my sister as it sold out everywhere! Original Price: £6.95

"Bubble Bars"

For the non-reusable bubble bars - ones that have one use or the ones that could be spilt in half or even further I sometimes use cling film, on ones such as Brightside. For the other ones such as the Rose Bubble Bar - which is one I fell in love with, so much so I currently owe 20 of them because they were part of the Mother's Day limited edition, I use sandwich bags. I find these keep the bars soft enough to crumble under the tap but also easy to break open when running a bath. I simply place them in the bag and tie a knot at the end in order to keep the smell of the bubble bar - and also they tend to keep there colour really well. For the Rose Bubble Bar £2.95

"My Lush Storage"

This was found after a trip to Ikea where I wanted to seek out another way of sorting my huge-ish collection of Lush in my family bathroom. I found something similar to what is pictured - but it was smaller and cost a lot more. After exploring the Market Place - again my Mum stumbled across the SPRUTT Trolley - which is absolutely perfect and stores everything. It is also on wheels - could there BE anything more perfect about it? Now, let me break it down for ya.....

TOP: This is perfect for putting out what I want for that particular bath time - I also keep my Body Puff and Exfoliating Gloves in a jar on top.
TOP BASKET: This is all my shower gels, shower creams, shampoos, shower jellies, conditioners, solid conditions, solid shampoo and shower smoothie. They all fit perfectly and are easy to take out and put back in even for the big 500g bottles - I am even pretty sure you could put the new 1kg size in there and still be able to take it out.
MIDDLE BASKET: This has bubble bars and bath bombs from the Limited edition collections, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Easter. Fits them all and none of them will fall out.
BOTTOM BASKET: This has bubble bars and bath bombs from Lush Oxford Street and Lush Kitchen. Again fits them all and I still even have some room - if I want to go back a purchase more hehe :)

The SPRUTT Trolley is new to the Ikea Collections and costs only £39.00.

So, in a nutshell that's how I organise and store my Lush Products. I am not saying this is the right way, but only that this is a system that works for me. I know a lot of fellow Lushies store there Lush products differently or even ask for suggestions how they could store theirs and this is me just adding to the ideas of how to do it. Now I am off to try and decrease my collection - wow I have a lot hehe :)
