Lush Obsessions

In another blog post to come I will explain how I became obsessed with the company Lush Cosmetics, but for now I want to explain why I love these current products which take pride of place on my bathroom shelf (actually I take over the entire bathroom with my Lush stuff!).

"Angels on Bare Skin"

This product is a face and body cleanser, that contains ground almonds, rose absolute and lavender flowers. The reason I now use this product was after being gifted the Validation Facial, which is one of the treatments that is offered in the exclusive Lush Spas. During this treatment you get to help the therapist choose 12 products that will be use on your face during the treatment. "Angels on Bare Skin" was the cleanser chosen for my skin type. This was purchased for me during my trip to Poole, Dorset, visiting the first Lush Store (future blog post to come). Since purchasing it, I have used it every day. My skin has never felt and looked so clear, this will be making an appearance in the future as it has become my new star item to have to keep my red and eczema prone skin at bay. The product comes as a paste-liked texture in the pot, in which you take a small amount in the palm of your hand, add a little bit of water and mix into a more paste like feeling and massage all over the face - or the whole body if you want! Rinsing off with clean water. For a 100g pot, £6.75 which lasts a very long time. For a 250g pot £16.88.

 "Veganese"

"Veganese" is a hair conditioner which contains Lavender Flower Infusion, Agar Agar Gel, which is a seaweed gel that has softening action on the hair and Lemon Oil. I picked this up after needed a conditioner for my hair, which is currently dyed Blue! I'm not a huge fan of conditioners, and always forget to use them, especially as I have colour damaged hair. This conditioner is different to the others I have used in the past. It has a lighter texture and don't feel too heavy on my hair - which I hate from a conditioner, making me want to wash it off straight away. Since using this conditioner my hair feels healthier, less damaged and looks a lot healthier - especially as I wash my hair everyday!! Again a little goes a long way and I will be re-purchasing this once it has run out. It is one of their Vegan products, but you don't have to be vegan to use it. For a 100g bottle £4.50, 250g bottle £8.95 and 500g bottle £14.25.

"Daddy-O"

"Daddy-O" is a purple shampoo originally designed to stop blondes going brassy. I was drawn to this product when I had blonde highlights and noticed that after a while they would dull and would make my hair look dull and boring. After using this product on my highlights I noticed they started to look like I had had them freshly done and fell in love with "Daddy-O" shampoo. The shampoo contains Lemon and Toothed Wrack Seaweed Infusion, Rose absolute and Bergamot Oil. The use of fresh lemons is a natural highlight for your hair as well as cleansing the hair and keeping it shiny. Now my hair is blue, I still use to the shampoo and even though I have dyed over my highlights, it allows the coloured dyes to take hold really well as well as maintaining the colour until I re-dye it. For 100g £5.50, 250g £10.95 and 500g £17.95.

Of course the main thing Lush Cosmetics are famous for is their bath ballistics and solid bubble bars, which of course I love and have many in my collection. At the moment, these are my three repeat items for bathroom staples, as with bath bombs and bubble bars I can swap and change what my favourites are, but there are some that I always repeat- which I will explain about in another blog post.

Love, Becky x
