Earlier this year the Lush Kitchen celebrated being a year old by bring out the Happy Birthday Bubble Bar in celebration. Of course, one of the things I really love about Lush is there novelty items and puns they use to describe certain products. So, when it was released into the Kitchen of course I have to get a couple. Funny thing, before sitting to write this blog post, I thought I had more in my collection but actually the other day I used my last one - oh dear will have to wait for it to come back around in the Kitchen next time. However, this is the Happy Birthday Bubble Bar.
The first thing I love about this product is that fact is the dressed up like a birthday present - ribbon and all which hits on the novelty factor I enjoy about Lush products. Of course ribbon and Happy Birthday sign are not for the bath - so these were removed before crumbling it under the trap.
The light pink colour of the product does not show up in the water, but gives it a hint which I can only describe as "your water but better" but it created soft and comforting sweet smelling bubbles that surrounded the bath. I originally saw that the product was meant to take on the smell of a birthday cake scent - which I have to say you do not get an overwhelming scent once crumbled into the bath - but when the product is a whole you definitely get a hint of cake like scent.
The product contained: Bergamot Oil, Vanilla Absolute, African Marigold Oil, Beeswax Absolute, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil and Gardenia Extract.
I found this to be a very moisturising bubble bar which left my skin feeling amazing once I got out of the bath and really enjoyed the scent it left on my skin - I mean who wouldn't want to smell like birthday cake - without the added calories of birthday cake. If Lush were to bring out this product again for another celebration in the Kitchen, I will obviously be repurchasing a few more of these bubble bars. I was actually quite disappointed to discover that I had used my last one. If you can get your hands on one of these bubble bars - then I would recommend that you do - as these were only limited to the Kitchen during the month of April this year.
This bubble bar was: £3.95 each.
Love, Becky x
