Lush Kitchen: Santa's Sack Bubble Bar

Santa's Sack Bubble Bar

This bubble bar was part of the original christmas collection that came out new in the stores in 2012. Since then the only appearance in the Lush Kitchen as a stand alone product. When looking at the display of this bubble bar, it is a really fun, novelty, perfect bubble bar that represents Christmas. Definitely one that you would be happy to use during the christmas season.

I, however, only used this a couple of weeks ago - due to spending most of Christmas 2015 trying out new Winter themed Lush products. While using this way after Christmas, I still enjoyed it - especially since the ingredients are the complete opposite to what I usually use. This bubble bar includes, Tonka Absolute, Neroli Oil, Tagetes Oil, Cinnamal and Gardenia Extract. All of these lead towards a very comforting and cosy scent, Cinnamon, spices and in my opinion typical of the Christmas Scented Pot Pourri or Christmas Pudding, not my favourite pudding. This is really good for those who like the shower gel Hot Toddy or the Christmas regular Holy Golightly Bubble Bar

I did enjoy this bubble bar, and I am pleased that I have another one in my collection, which I will probably use in a Lush Potion. But, on thing I found good about this bubble bar - but this was only after researching it - you get a lot of uses out of this bubble bar. The two presents - set into the top of the sack - are actually reusable - which now makes sense seeing as when I originally used this one - the two presents were really hard to crumble!

To be honest, if this reappeared as a regular product or back in the kitchen - for Lush Winter 2016, I do not think I will be repurchasing it, as it is not really up my street and find other Christmas Scented products much better in my opinion.

For this bubble bar: £3.95.

Happy Birthday Miss Totally Becky!!!

Happy Birthday Miss Totally Becky!

My Blog and The Queen have something in common - they share the same birthday! As I was busy with other things I completely forgot to post this post on Thursday! However I am posting it now!

I started this blog over a year ago to celebrate my love for the cosmetic company LUSH, due to discovering I could use it, you can read about my Lush Story in the blog post "I'm A Lushie"!

Since that day, I have loved reviewing, talking about my favourite products, how to guides, experiences, trips and overall how much I love the products that Lush sell!

Since January of this year I have thought about format of my blog, added new things, thought about a schedule and have enjoying writing on it a lot more!

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has read my blog posts, liked my photos of Instagram, left me comments and actually had help from reading my reviews etc.

To many more years of Miss Totally Becky!

Lush Kitchen: Sleepy Head Massage Bar (My 100th Post!!!)

During January 2016, Lush Kitchen released a menu all to do with sleep. It was also the first time that they did a lot of products that had not been seen before, therefore it was a pricey week, because as you know - we NEED the products! One of the Sleep related products was a massage bar called Sleepy Head Massage Bar

Sleepy Head Massage Bar

The first thing I have to say about this Massage Bar, it is huge. I have used this several times and it feels like it is the same size as when I first got it. It is a gorgeous massage bar, extremely moisturising, smells incredible and lovely to use. As I have mentioned before my favourite holy grail product from Lush is Dream Cream - which the sleepy time collection that Lush Kitchen brought out, share similar scents which made this right up my street.

This massage bar is amazing for relaxing your muscles ready to get into bed and sleep. I use it before bedtime - when I've had a busy day or been on my feet a lot of it and I do find that I feel more relaxed and drift off to sleep a lot easier. I would definitely recommend it to someone who has problems relaxing and therefore problems with the sleep pattern. Alongside it's properties to have a restful nights sleep and unwind, my skin feels incredible after using it - with myself finding I am grabbing this of a nighttime over my other favourite body lotions and other massage bars. However, it does take a little bit longer than other massage bars to absorb into the skin - but during the time it is absorbing it has also started the calming effect - ready for bed. I do not mind that it produces a thicker layer when you rub it over your skin, it is actually quite a nice feeling - silky soft.

As this product is all to do with a better nights sleep, the ingredients that it includes are all to help with relaxing the body and clear the mind. This include Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter - which contribute to the nourishing and moisturising qualities of this massage bar. It also includes Horsetail Herb Extract in Organic Jojoba Oil, Lavender Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil and Fennel Oil. All of which are related to helping the mind relax before drifting off into a relaxing, calming and perfect sleep.

When I use this alongside Dream Cream on my Face, I feel I get a better nights sleep and wake up refreshed and ready for the day ahead. I really hope that this makes an appearance again in the Lush Kitchen before the year is out or maybe the same time next year as I will be definitely be purchasing another one or two.

For this massage bar: £6.50.

Lush Spring 2016: Spring Bunny Bath Bomb (Oxford Street Exclusive)

Hands down the best Mother's Day/Easter/Spring Collection Lush has brought out in the two years I have been a Lush Fan or Lushie! I have nearly used everything they brought out as well as making sure I had several others in my collection in order to use them throughout the year. Since Lush Oxford Street has been open - when it comes to collection/celebrations they have a few exclusives to the store - which I have lucky enough to be able to get in order to try them out. One exclusive that I got my hands on was also part of a gift set - this is the Spring Bunny Bath Bomb

Spring Bunny Bath Bomb

This adorable bath bomb is the perfect zingy, zesty, citrusy kick for those days when it has been warmer than usual and you need something to sink into in order to refresh and freshen up. Spring is a weird time of year in the UK, we see the sun appear and then disappear for days on end, then if we are lucky we get the chance for some warm days - when you can venture out in just a cardigan or hoody! For those days when you have been out enjoying the sunshine you need a bath bomb that refreshes you ready for bedtime or the perfect pick me up in order to get the day started when you see the sun bursting through you windows.

This bath bomb was available to buy on its own at the Lush Oxford Street store, it also made an appearance in the kitchen - as well as if you got one of the Easter/Mother's Day/Spring gift sets from other Lush Stores, you might have seen this gem pop up! I loved using this bath bomb in my bath tub, it was the perfect bath bomb to add other citrusy scents to and really get your body perked up and ready for a day in the sunshine. It fizzes away really well, leaving your bath water a lovely citrusy yellow - looking like you had just filled your bath tub up with Lemon Juice! If you are a fan of the Lush Regular - Avobath - or any citrus product that you have had from Lush or if you could eat Lemons like normal pieces of fruit - then you would enjoy this bath bomb a lot!

This bath bomb contains: Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Carrot Oil, Limonene and Water.

For such a citrus scented bath bomb, you would not expect for it to be so nourishing on the skin - and it is unusual for a lemon smelling bath bomb to have cocoa butter in it - which makes this little bath bomb pack a punch!

I really hope that it makes an appearance next year!

For this bath bomb: £3.45.

Lush Kitchen: Ex Factor Bath Bomb

When Lush announces it's new collection to celebrate different holidays throughout the year, the Lush Kitchen the co-ordinates - usually - with the collections that have been brought in the stores. Earlier this year, when the Valentine's Day Collection came out, the Lush Kitchen co-ordinated with releasing the Ex-Factor Bath Bomb

Ex-Factor Bath Bomb

I have mentioned on several occasions in numerous other blog posts, I do like the novelty designed Bath products that Lush bring out for different holiday celebrations! But, with this one there is a novelty design and a novelty name! It is also that alternative Valentine's Day product - perfect for if you are single, recently dumped or just seen your ex's new partner - at least this ex boyfriend/girlfriend can meet their watery death!

According to the research I did before purchasing it from the Lush Kitchen, this apparently shares it's scent with the Butterball/Butterbear range - but I would have to disagree here. I am a huge fan of the Butterball/Butterbear range, especially the bears which comes out at Christmas. The Butterball range is very chocolatey, vanilla scented - which can be overpowering and to some sickly and thick. The Ex-Factor Bath Bomb, is nothing like the Butterball collection in my opinion - it is more of a light vanilla scent, which is actually really refreshing as well as being moisturising for the skin. It also adds a subtle tint of blue to the bath water - when it fizzes away!

Ex-Factor Bath Bomb contains: Synthetic Musk, Ylang Ylang Oil, Water (Aqua), Perfume, Colour 42090, Colour 14700, Colour 17200, and Colour 45410.

The ingredients surprise me, especially when it comes to supposably sharing it's scent with the Butterball Scent Family, how comes it smells vanilla like without no vanilla. However, this does not turn me off and if it comes back out next year then I would definitely buy a couple or five! This bath bomb would also be a good bases of Lush Cocktails or Potions, really good to add other scents to it, make it an amazing bath time experience.

For this Bath Bomb: £3.50.

Original Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

One of the most interesting and in the beginning popular products that graced the Lush Oxford Street Shelves when it first opened - nearly a year ago this month - was a bath bomb which ended up being pulled from the shelves - needing to be reworked/reformulated due to a part of it causing problems with customers. I am talking about is the Lava Lamp Bath Bomb. Since this problem arose, it has been ages since the bath bomb been on the shelves, doubting if it would ever return. However, when the Spring 2016 catalog appeared - well the sneak peaks started to show on Instagram - they all hinted at the Lava Lamp Bath Bomb returning - and I can confirm it is back - I have two but that meant I could FINALLY use the Original Lava Lamp Bath Bomb, I picked up when Lush Oxford Street First opened there doors!

Original Lava Lamp

The original problem that occurred with the Lava Lamp Bath Bomb was the oils which are packed into the bath bomb, that when it enters the water - the bomb fizzes away and the oil slowly separate from the bath bomb and melt away in the hot water - giving you the benefit of a bath bomb and bath oil combined. The original Lava Lamp, contained little circles of oils in both parts of the bath bomb, these are causing stains to be left, once you drained the water from the bath tub. This was the problem customers were not liking about the bath bomb - hence it being taken off the shelves and reformulated.

When I used this bath bomb, the stain in which the oils left on the sides of the bath tub - did not bother me and found that it washed away quite easily once I had drained the bath tub. Regarding the actual bath bomb, I really hope that when I use a new formulated Lava Lamp, that it has not changed regarding the scent and the way it makes you feel.

Firstly, the scent is amazing! It is a citrus scented bath bomb - containing: Brazilian Orange Oil - which anything with orange in it is a win for me - but combined with Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Organic Extra Virgin Oil and Organic Castor Oil - makes this bath bomb a really luxurious bath bomb - something that you were definitely save for a special occasion or when you really feel like it should be pampered. I love this bath bomb and how moisturising it is on the skin - with those extra little circles of oils.

In the new Lava Lamp, they have reduced the number of oil circles with them only being in the first half of bath bomb - which is hopefully going to sort out the stain problem the original bath bomb was causing.

Overall, I love this bath bomb and it's moisturising qualities, which could be really good for people who hate the whole moisturising the skin after a bath and would rather put their pjs on - without the need for creams or massage bars!

I am also so pleased that it has come back and hopefully it stays around for a long time and not limited edition!

For this Bath Bomb: £3.95.

Lush Empties: March

Firstly, I would like to apologise for how late this post it! Things have really gone wild in my household - DIY Season has begun! For the Month of March, there has not been anything too exciting that has been used up - but since I have re-organised my Lush Collection, I am starting to grab for things I would not necessarily use, but now I am! Hopefully some other interesting items turn up in April's Empties!

Lush Empties

Face Masks

Only two face masks this month and like every month they are the same two that I use all the time, Rosey Cheeks and Mask of Magnaminty! Only one of each this month and unfortunately because I only had four black pots - I haven't been able to claim my free face mask yet - hopefully use up another black/clear soon in order to get my free facial mask!

Shampoos

I have gone through another two small bottles of the I Love Juicy Shampoo - I have been buying them in the 100g bottles - but I have now got a 250g bottle and hope that lasts me a lot longer! I love this shampoo in order to manage greasy hair/oily hair and it is amazing, plus smells gorgeous!

Facial Cleansers

I used up my beloved Angels On Bare Skin Facial Cleanser - and when I tried to order another one from the Lush Website - they were out of stock! Finally got another pot last weekend! I love this Facial Cleanser for combating sensitive skin - I like it for mine as I suffer with eczema!

Body Conditioner

I did not use this up, but I thought I would include it as my sister used it up, this is the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Really good for moisturising after shaving or just to keep the skin really moisturising!

That's it for March, looking forward to April!

Lush Easter 2016: Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly

I personally think that this year the collection Lush brought out for Easter/Spring this year has been the best - much better than last years collection - which I thought was mostly based on the Carrot Scented Products - Yuck!

With the opening of Lush Oxford Street - which is nearly a year old, Lush have been bringing out exclusives - which have been amazing - especially if you can get your hands on them. I am lucky enough to be near enough to Lush Oxford Street in order to try out these exclusives, and basically the entire collections that Lush bring out.

However, the product that I am raving about today, was available in all stores and one of the most novelty, lovely scented, and fun product that was part of the collection. This is the Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly

Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly

When it comes to Shower Jellies, I love the novelty, I love how they jiggle in the pot - but I have trouble grabbing for them. I look at them, I see the many pots of various shower jellies in my collection - but when another one comes out - and especially if it's in the shape of something - I will want it and add it to the ever growing collection.

So when the Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly arrived in the Lush Store, it was purchased for me and sat in the collection for a good week. I did however take it out the pot and said out loud how cute it was, then put it back in. After it screamed out, one day when running a bath I decided to try it out - and I am so glad I did.

This shower jelly is amazing, especially how, and fingers crossed the weather in the UK is now turning and the sun is making it's appearance. It is so refreshing, especially as I am now considering putting it in the fridge or freezer to use in the summer months. Alongside the refreshing nature of this product, is the scent. If you like the gentle scent of Orange - this is the product for you. I love Orange scents, and I like that Lush for Easter/Spring went down the route of featuring more Orange in this years collection - which is a nice alternative to the normal citrus lemon scent.

I am a huge fan of citrus scents - therefore scents which make me feel uplifted and also fresh - which I live by as the days get warmer. This jelly contains, Alfalfa Infusion, Carrageenan Extract, Brazilian Orange Oil and Gardenia Extract. I like that even though it contains a lot of good ingredients that could pack a punch - in this jelly it is more subtle which I like - as you can layer the scent once leaving the bath tub - usually with other orange scents/citrus products!

I have also enjoyed that it is a bunny shape - if you ask my family I love anything to do with bunny rabbits - and I have asked since I was little and still to this day if I can have one - they keep saying no! I'll have to stay with the shower jelly version.

For this Shower Jelly: £3.95 (90g).

Blogmas Day Twenty Four: Thank you and Merry Christmas

Blogmas Day Twenty Four: Thank you and Merry Christmas Yes some of the blog posts were late, including this one, but I am so pleased to...
