Lush Mother's Day 2016: Flutterby Bubble Bar

I am in the second year of discovering the joys of Lush Limited Edition Collection, that is not just the Christmas/Winter Collection. So, once Valentine's Day had passed, Mother's Day appeared. This year, they have brought out more products which are the same scent or similar to Yummy Mummy - which came out in the Shower Gel/Body Lotion last year. I have never been a huge fan of the scent, until it came out in the Peeping Santa Bubble Bar Christmas 2015. This year for Mother's Day, they brought it out in a bubble bar, Flutterby Bubble Bar.

Flutterby Bubble Bar

Oh me oh my - I have totally been changed into liking the scent of Yummy Mummy by this Flutterby Bubble Bar. This bubble bar is amazing. Firstly, it is a brilliant colour with butterfly detail on the top - it is a little bit like the the Comforter or Brightside - as it has the the swirl of two colours - pink and white. Secondly, the smell is incredible. The scent is the same as Yummy Mummy, but in my opinion it has slightly more Strawberry in it - which makes it a lot fresher fragrance. Thirdly, this bubble bar is huge!! I have only used a third in my bath tub, but you could easily get three/four baths out of this one bubble bar.

Let's get back to the scent. If you are a huge fan or just a fan of the Yummy Mummy scent, then you will enjoy this bubble bar. It is really good to use alongside the shower gel from last year or if you prefer the new shower cream which has been brought out this year. Now, to be honest, this was not a scent that I particularly liked last year. I bypassed the shower gel and body lotion in favour of other products - one which has not made a return this year! However, when they introduced Peeping Santa Bubble Bar, this Winter just gone, I began to turn towards it and find that the scent was refreshing but also really comforting which is a bonus especially when wanting a really relaxing bath time experience.

I am so pleased that I picked up two when visiting the Lush Oxford Street store. I have to mention that this product is exclusive to the Lush Oxford Street Flagship store, but hopefully in the weeks leading up to Mother's Day - here in the UK it is the 6th March is will hopefully make an appearance in the Lush Kitchen

Disclaimer: Unfortunately I am not sure of the ingredients will update when I get hold of them!

For this Bubble Bar: £4.95.

Lush Kitchen: Dream On Bath Bomb

If you have read my blog post "Dream Cream Hand & Body Lotion" you would know that I consider Dream Cream as my holy grail, take on a desert island, Lush can NEVER discontinue product. I am also a massive fan of the whole Dream Cream range, including the bath melt and the shower smoothie. I always thought it was missing a Bath Bomb. My prayers were answered recently, when the Lush Kitchen brought out the Dream On Bath Bomb. Holy moly, I got myself a couple and I wish they would make it an all year round product.

Dream On Bath Bomb

If there was ever a bath bomb that was designed to make you sleep like a baby again - never understood that phrase, the swear babies sleep awfully - then this is the bath bomb. Oh my days, this bath bomb is amazing. When it arrived, I surprised to see the size of it. It is smaller than your average Lush bath bomb - slightly smaller I think that Butterball Bath Bomb is.

When I used this bath bomb, I had a really good night's sleep. I used this alongside the Dreamtime Bath Melt and it was a really soothing and calming bath time experience. This product contains: Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil and Gardenia Extract. The scent that shows itself the most when this bath bomb hits the water, is Lavender. It is not overpowering, subtle but calms you instantly when you emerge yourself into the water. I also found that my skin felt extremely soft and moisturised - which was from the Cocoa Butter.

Not only was the fragrance amazing, the colour of the bath bomb was something different especially with the ingredients it contains. Usually products linked to Lavender smells, are of the colour purple or lilac - but this bath bomb is a lovely pastel orange colour. Even though this is a very basic looking and probably in some people's opinion basic scented product that Lush have brought out in the kitchen, I do believe that it is the ingredients that speak louder than it being a spectacle in the water - like some of the other large bath bombs. I really do hope these appear in the Kitchen again, cause if they do I think I will purchase a few more. In the meantime I'm gonna save the other one I have of these until a very much needed relaxation time.

For this bath bomb: £3.25.

Lush Winter 2015: Father Christmas & Magic Wand

Snow Fairy - is a very popular fragrance when it comes to Lush launching their Lush Christmas or in the case of last year Lush Winter Collections. It is also a scent that divides people. For some they love the sweet, candy floss coloured, sugary fragrance and make sure they stock up so that it lasts them right around until the following winter. For other's it is the worst scent that Lush has brought out, that it is overpowering, sickly and want nothing to go with it. Then there is a middle ground of people, who picks and choose which Snow Fairy scented products they like. I am one of those people who only likes a select few items such as the Snow Fairy scent bath bomb and the reusable bubble bar - I do not like the shower gel. Recently, I used two of the Snow Fairy scented items - from the Lush Winter Collection for 2015.

Father Christmas Bath Bomb

To look at this product, you would link it with the popular Snow Fairy scent - due to it's pink and white complexion but it has a secret - which is only discovered once it is thrown (with caution) into the bathtub. Underneath, this pink and white jolly looking Santa face is a gorgeous christmassy green colour. As for the scent, I think this particular bath bomb from the Snow Fairy range because it is not overpowering - like the Shower Gel is. It has a subtle sweet candy floss scent that surrounds the bathroom - but does not give you a headache - like I find you get when you use Snow Fairy Shower Gel

This bath bomb contains: Gardenia Extract, Synthetic Musk, Cream of Tartar, Perfume. If you look at the rest of the ingredients, you can see that it is a very synthetic product in order to get that candy floss sweet scent.

I think personally this is best product from the Snow Fairy range, it has just enough Snow Fairy in it for me. Of course if you are a major Snow Fairy Fan, I hope you picked up a few of theses - especially if you got them in the boxing day sale.

For this bath bomb: £3.65.

Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

Let's carry on the theme of Snow Fairy theme, with the Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar. When I first used this product - which was Christmas 2014, which was the first time I experienced the Christmas products - I have to admit that I actually prefer the bubble bar back then, however the only thing I do like about this one is the colour. The one from last year had a weaker colour, so therefore if you used this product on it's on - the bubbles were good but the colour was not. However when using this one this year, the only thing that is really good it the strength in colour - which makes a really lovely pink bath water.

On saying that, the scent of this has becomes more like the Snow Fairy Shower Gel, which is that strong sickly sweet scent - which does not appeal to me. I have used this twice since having the bubble bar and I am only using it - to use it up and get it out of my collection. I all honesty if this reusable bubble bar comes back again for Lush Winter 2016, I think I am going to avoid picking it up .

This bubble bar contains that same as the bath bomb mentioned above. Therefore, like the entire Snow Fairy range, very artificial fragrance and in my opinion sickly sweet. One saving grace about this product, because it is reusable you do get more than one bath out of it. Depending on how you use it, you can get 4/5 uses out of it, or if you use it sparingly you can get even more uses.

For this bubble bar: £5.25

Intergalactic Bath Bomb

After using this particular bath bomb the other day, I was surprise to discover that I had not reviewed in, especially as this bath bomb started off as a Lush Oxford Street Exclusive and has now become a regular product in all stores.

Intergalactic Bath Bomb

Mint, can be a love it or hate it scent. Sometimes it can be so overpowering that it feels like it is melting your eyeballs. So when it comes to Bath bombs, that has the main ingredient of a peppermint scent - it is a worry that it could be really overpowering. However, Intergalactic Bath Bomb has that happy and amazing balance of the gorgeous mint scent.

The scent is amazing, it is not overwhelming and is a really gentle fresh scent which I find is perfect for those days where you have had a busy day and need a freshen up. It would also be a really good Bath Bomb to use when you need a pick me up to get you up and ready in the morning - especially if you are not a morning person.

This Bath Bomb contains: Popping Candy, Peppermint Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Vetivert Oil and Cedarwood Oil. When this originally came out during the launch of Lush Oxford Street, I was in two minds of whether I would like it or not. I usually stick to what I like - which is mainly citrusy scents - never even though of actually taking a liking to minty scents. Since then I have used this bath bomb three times - and would happily keep repurchasing them and hoping that they will not be disappearing anytime soon.

I have not even mentioned the best thing about this bath bomb - the actual colour and spectacle it creates in the bathtub. When the bath bomb is whole - it is a gorgeous deep bath colour, with flexes of lustre with this hint of other colours going through it. When it is released into the bath water, it truly does create an intergalactic night sky - just what you would imagine if you took a trip into space. It is beautiful to watch while it fizzes up, leaving you with a beautiful blue, glittery bath. Definitely would recommend getting this bath bomb if you have young children - create their own galaxy.

For this bath bomb: £3.95.

Lush Empties: January

Apart from enjoying the wonderful Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars that Lush has to offer, I also enjoy using there Shower Gel/Creams, Shampoos, Conditioners, Facial Washes, Masks and even there Jellies. As I have noticed my collection of black pots piling up - ready to take back to Lush for a free fresh facial mask - I have decided to look at what I have used up and therefore creating my assortment of Lush Empties.

Lush Empties

I keep my empties in this bath shaped container - which was purchased from Wilko for 90p - on top on Lush Collection Trolley before taking them back Lush - cleaned out and for a free face mask. These products have been used over the last couple of months and contain a few of my favourite products that I do like to repurchase over and over again.

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

This was the first fresh face mask I used from Lush when I started to venture out from just buying Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars. Now and again I will pick one up just because it is such as good face mask. I really enjoy how thick it is especially when applying it to the face. I love using it straight out of the fridge, but have to be careful not to actually taste a bit, as this smell just like chocolate. This face mask is really good for if you are still prone to breakouts and those annoying spots that just won't go away! It contains: Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Butter, Fresh Mint, Sandalwood Oil, Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Spearmint Oil and Peppermint Oil. These ingredients are really good for combating that annoying breakouts.
For this Fresh Face Mask: £6.75.

Rosey Cheeks Fresh Face Mask

Just looking at this picture I think this Face Mask has been one of my favourites. I have loved this product ever since it came out as part of the new products for Lush Oxford Street. It combats redness, especially if you suffer with "Rosey Cheeks". Ever since I have used this the redness that would appear on my cheeks has calmed down and it a lot better - especially when appealing Make-Up after using it in the bath.
I have done a full review on this - "The Comforter Bath".
However, since the introduction of this product, it is now available in all Lush Stores as well as on the Lush Website
For this Fresh Face Mask: £6.75.

Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask

Again, this is one product I will always place in my basket if it needs replacing. When I have an extremely bad breakout or big spots that stand under the skin I grab for this magical product. I love how it helps clear up the breakouts, calms redness as well as having an exfoliating element to it. I have done a full review of Mask of Magnaminty
For this Face and Body Mask:
Non-Perserving/Self-Preserving: 125g: £5.75 315g £9.95

I love Juicy Shampoo

Not only is this Shampoo amazing, it smells divine. Sometimes I just open the bottle and smell it. This is my third bottle that I have gone through and will always make sure to have a bottle in my collection. I use this as the first wash of my hair and it works incredibly. It is designed for deeply cleansing and clarifying your hair - which is certainly does. My hair gets greasy really quickly - and this shampoo cuts through the grease and excess oils and makes my hair look amazing. This Shampoo contains: Lemon Oil, Freshly Juiced Papaya, Fine Sea Salt, Carrageenan Extract, Sweet Orange Oil, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Fresh Kiwi Juice and Fresh Mango Juice. I love how my hair smells and feels after using it. One amazing shampoo!
For this Shampoo: 100g £5.75, 250g £11.25, 500g £18.50, 1kg £31.50.

So these are the current products I have emptied. I have also cleaned out the five black pots featured in this picture to take back to Lush and claim my free face mask - the only problem - which one to chose?

Hope you found this blog post interesting. I hope to do these regularly, I'm interested to see what product I use up regularly, quickly and probably out of the blue products.
