I'm a Lushie!

Just over a year ago I discovered what would ultimately become a passion, hobby and of course a collection. Lush Cosmetics

Before the joy of bath bombs, bubble bars, shower gels & jellies and definitely before my collection took up half the bathroom, my showers and baths were boring. Since I was little I have always had super sensitive skin and then when I was 14 I got eczema. This meant that bath times and showers were boring, dull, plain scent and more of a task than something to enjoy.

Alongside all of this I am also allergic to perfume, this meant having to read the ingredients list of every product from bubble bath to shampoo to even deodorant. If it was label "suitable for sensitive skin" I used it. I stuck to the product I trusted, the products that did not make me break out, have red raw skin and overall kept my skin at bay and behaving.

This all changed in May 2014, when on a boring trip to my local Lush at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, my life and bath time changed forever.
When walking in, I didn't pick up a basket, I already thought that there wouldn't be anything for me, thinking that every product contain high perfume levels or the fact that just walking into the store would trigger my skin to react.

As I was just browsing, minding my own business, a lovely girl came up to me and asked me if I was alright. My initial thought was to brush her off, as I was going to make a quick exit the minutes she wasn't looking. However, I decided to ask her for help. I explain the trouble I have always had with my skin and wanted to know if there was anything Lush had to offer in order for me to have behaving skin but also smell lovely.

I was in Luck! Lush have made a range targeting people with super sensitive skin, but still wanting them to have the joy of Lush in there lives. As this was my first time using Lush products, we didn't go too mad we just selected a few. Products across the range, things to use in the bath, as well as something to put on every day. The products were, Dreamwash Shower Smoothie, Dream Cream for Hands and Body, Creamy Candy Bubble Bar and Butterball Bath Bomb.

I have never left a store feeling so pleased and excited in order to try new product, with my fingers crossed that I wouldn't react and that I would be able to repeat the experience over and over again. Now, as you can see but the other blog posts, I was able to experience pretty much the entire collection Lush has to offer. I can safely say that I do not react to any of the product - apart from the Perfumes which I am trying but I am still scared to use. I now pretty much use Lush for everything - for bath, shower, hair care, skin care, foot care, and even make-up.

From my experience, I also converted my Sister, who use to dislike Lush, but when I brought her a couple of things in order to try she was impressed. It wasn't until Lush launched their christmas collection last year that my sister got into and now like me has a collection, uses lush for everything and even follows Lush related things on Instagram. We are both Lushies (People who are fans of Lush!)

I cannot thank Lush enough, especially the girl who was called Emma from Lush Lakeside. I now have fun baths, shower that make me smell lovely and skin that still behaves. It is from this that I now love to review and write my own opinions about Lush expressing it as pure joy and happiness on this blog. I love being part of the Lush community and hope to continue to enjoy it for a very long time.

Love, Becky
