Lush Oxford Street

"Ooo Heaven is a Place on Earth"

Holy Moly, heaven has opened it's doors on earth. With everything displayed neatly on shelves, demonstrations in butler sinks and baskets on wheels in order for you to fill with all the delightful scents that hit you on walking into the store. Yes, this is about LUSH OXFORD STREET!!!!!!

Now, I have never been excited about a store opening at all in my life. I'm usually the last person to know and walks straight past a new store, to look back and say "Hmm, that wasn't there before." This all changed when I discovered that Lush would be opening its biggest store to date on one of the busiest shopping streets in the world, Oxford Street. I have, along with my sister been following the lead up to it opening. From exclusive hints on Instagram, texting each other things we had heard or seen to it actually opening on Friday 24th April 2015.

Upon entering the store, I was filled with excitement, joy and of course extremely overwhelmed questioning - WHERE DO WE START?!?!?!?! Let me break it down for you.....the store is spread over three beautiful laid out stories.

The Top Floor: being Bubble Bars, Bath Bombs, Gift Sets and Fun.
The Middle Floor: is dedicated to Shower Gels, Showders, Shower Sheets, Shower Jellies, Skin Care, Soap, Make-Up, Hair Care, Shampoo, Conditioners and Foot Care.
The Bottom Floor: is home to the exclusive Lush Spa, Massage Bars, Perfumes and another exclusive the Gorilla Perfume Gallery.

First impressions of the store layout, it that it is easy to move around, you do not feel like you are cramped into the space and because, they are expecting loads of visitors day after day, plenty of room to accommodate the vast amount of Lushies (Lush Fans). There is also a lift which gives access to all three floors and seats are available to sit and wait - especially those lovely partners who are dragged along while there other half potters around the shop.

New Bath Bombs
New Soaps
So, we went into battle as we grabbed a basket each and was ready to fill it with all the exclusive products. There are 200 new and exclusive products to the store, which I think they are bringing into either all stores or possible available on the website - I'm not sure about this and will have to wait until Lush make the official announcement. For now they are available just at Oxford Street.

In the madness that was the store, we grabbed everything new insight. From Hair Custard, to Frozen Bath Bomb. From brand new Bath Oils, to shiny new Shower Creams. It was just so exciting to see these new products displayed and being able to place them in your basket to be purchased. Especially after guessing what they could or couldn't be when they were just hints on Instagram.

On my first visit, Myself and My Sister picked up as many of the exclusive products that we could see, we even had to wait for some to be re-stocked just 10 minutes of getting into the store. (Lord of Misrule Shower Cream was re-stocked 5 times while we were there!) With baskets full we hit the tills and checkout, with all our exclusive products - with a couple of old favourites thrown in there for good measure. We brought so much we took a cab home.

Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin' alive, stayin' alive
On my second visit, which was today, I wanted to take a more relaxed approach and actually see what they have to offer and if I had missed anything from my first visit (turns out I did!) Again, with my sister (who I turned into a Lushie), we decided to visit the Gorilla Perfume Gallery which is located on the Bottom Floor. If you a planning to visit the Lush Oxford Street Store in the near future, I would highly recommend the Gorilla Perfume Gallery, because not only do you learn stuff but its a fun element to your shopping trip. Myself and My Sister thoroughly recommend it. It's a right good giggle especially if you don't mind making yourself look a bit silly! Also, the staff who are part of the experience are lovely!

For major fans of the Lush, they have improved some things. Such as the Bubble bars, they have been given an update. For example, favourite such as the Comforter, Blue skies and fluffy clouds have been given a colour update - they have a stronger colour which makes more of a colourful delight when crumbled into your bath. Karma, has not only been given a colour overhaul but also a design overhaul - now in a snazzy pyramid shape.

Latest Lush Haul, Oops!
Bath Oils (which use to be known as Bath melts) are now smaller, more of them but they are all priced at £2.00. They have also improved on old favourites Dreamtime, Floating Island and You've Been Mangoed.

Of course on my second trip to the store I discovered new things that I didn't see the first time and one or two may have or may not have fallen into my basket. I have to say I am completely fallen head of heels for the store as well as the exclusive products - which I am in the process of testing out. But it is fair to say, I am pretty much stocked up for a while, hehe.

Love, Becky :)
