Damaged Hot Oil Hair Treatment

This next one is definitely aimed at all those Lushies, like myself, who have decided that normal coloured hair is boring!!! Remember when we thought putting a load of bleach on our hair just so we could dye it blue was a good idea? Well, don't get my wrong having blue hair is a awesome, but our hair is screaming out for some TLC- enter Damaged Hot Oil Hair Treatment from Lush Oxford Street.

Seriously, since using this my hair has never felt so healthy. Like I said in a previous blog post, I have never been into using other products outside of shampoo and conditioner for my hair until I became a huge fan of Lush. Since using Lush treatments for my hair, my hair has never look or felt this good EVER! 

Right, let me give you a little bit of history of my hair. For the past year and a bit I have been having blonde highlights put in my hair every three to four months. I got bored of being mousey brown and wanted to spicy things up a bit - plus I have always wanted to have highlights. For the last few months I have been dying over my highlights with different shades of blue just to be different for a while. So, my hair was definitely in need of some TLC some all the amount of dye that I have been putting on my hair. My sister, has also joined me as part of Team Blue Hair by bleaching and dying the bottom half of her hair. So we both decided to try out the Damaged Hot Oil Hair Treatment. 

This product comes on a stick, it looks exactly like those Hot Chocolate stick you get as gifts for people. You place it in a pot, they recommend an old Lush pot and boil the kettle. Once the kettle is boiled, you begin to add the water, slowly. You need to melt the entire product but a bit at a time. Once it is all melted and its a thick constancy, let it cool for a little bit so its warm rather than boiling hot. Once cooler, you apply it all over your hair and then sit for 20 minutes in order for it to work its magic. 

When the 20 minutes is up, you wash it out using your normal shampoo and conditioner to wash it out. Perfect excuse for a lovely Lush Bath! 

My hair has never felt so healthy. After all the dying, bleaching etc recently my hair now feels brand new. The effect isn't a one time thing, it lasts for several days after the treatment and you feel the benefits of really good conditioned hair. I will definitely be re-purchasing this when my hair needs some TLC. It includes Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Virgin Olive Oil, Almond Oil, and Avocado Oil. For this product is £6.50.
