Really Good & Affordable Face Masks

You want to keep your youthful looks for as long as you possibly can, before the onset of ageing, wrinkles and grey hair. Therefore, having a really good skincare routine is key. Now I am in my early 20s I have realised the importance of having good products to use on your face especially when it comes to keeping it wrinkle free for as long as possible. However, as I am just out of university, I cannot be affording - just yet - the high end skin products which claim to keep you youthful. This means I am always on the hunt for more affordable options to keep my skin looking young and healthy.

One thing I love is a good face mask. I usually apply face masks when I'm having a relaxing bath - usually accompanied by a can of Diet Coke and my YouTube subscription box. As I have sensitive skin, I always worry about certain face mask actually irritating my skin rather than helping it and after sampling a lot face masks - I have discovered some amazing ones that make my skin feel amazing and don't break the bank.

Superdrug's' (a UK drugstore) own brand face masks are the best face masks I have discovered to use on my skin type. I have combination skin - where it is oily in parts and dry in others - which is caused my eczema which can flare up on my face. This alongside my skin being very sensitive. However, I have not experienced any problems or issues when using these face masks - that I now make sure to have a big selection to use whenever I have a bath. There are loads to choose from - but the ones pictured above are my favourites and ones I pick up all the time.

Apricot Exfoliating Self-Warming Mask - 99p
This mask is particularly good if you want a real deep clean of your skin. The combination of it being an exfoliating mask - which is good for removing dead skin and dry patches - with it also self-heating - really works at making sure everything comes out of your pores. Plus with it being apricot scented - the mask leaves your face feeling really fresh. 4/5

Dead Sea Purifying Clay Mask - 99p
Clay mask are meant to be excellent for your skin - so I really do recommend this purifying clay mask from Superdrug's. This is also a really uplifting mask - as it has lemon zest and Eucalyptus - which when you remove the mask it leaves your skin feeling really fresh and makes it feel bright again. This is a really good one to use, as we come into the winter months to keep dull skin bright. 4/5

Skin Rescue Tropical Fruit Peel Off Mask - 99p
Peel off masks are really good for unclogging your pores. Which is fantastic especially coming in after being outside in a environment which is becoming more polluted. It really deep cleanses your skin - phenomenal if you have been wearing a lot of make up - this mask could be part of your cleansing routine after a long day. I'm usually not one for peel off masks - but I really enjoy using this one. 3/5

Superfruits Exfoliating Mask - 99p
This mask is my absolute favourite. Firstly, the scent is delicious and actually makes my mouth water when I apply it to my skin. As I suffer with dry patches - due to the eczema I get on my face - particularly around my nose and on my cheeks. This mask - used alongside a cleanser, really helps to maintain and keep the eczema under control. 5/5

Cucumber Cooling Clay Mask - 99p
I use this particular mask if my skin is really irritated or has been sore, but not cut. This is usually used if the eczema flares up really badly and I want something to cool my skin down. It really does calm skin down, makes your skin feel fresh but also helps to control impurities and keep your skin feeling really smooth and hydrated. 4/5

There are loads more that Superdrug offer in their own range of face mask, which suit every skin type. As you can see from the prices listed, they are all under a £1. Superdrug also usually always have them on offer - usually 3 for 2 - which is amazing and when this happens I make sure to stock up. I am hoping to try out all the masks they have to offer and might do a similar blog post to this if I get the chance.

Until next time,
