Amandopondo Bubble Bar

As I have already mentioned in a previous blog post "Rose Bubble Bar", I am a massive fan of the scent of the Mother's Day exclusive the Rose Bubble Bar. As this is only limited addition I was over the moon to discover that Lush carried an all year round product of the same scent Amandopondo - which I have to admit I really struggle to pronounce. I am devastated to discover that Lush are discontinuing this item.

Amandopondo Bubble Bar

Now this product is rose scented, but not the same rose smell as the famous and ever popular Rose Jam. I don't really know how to describe the scent of this, as it is not your typical floral Rose scent. I find it very clean smell and also really fresh smell - which means it would be very good for a morning bath or a midday bath - especially as it is getting warmer here in the UK and sometimes you need to freshen up in the day time.

It does not turn your bath water a colour - but it definitely makes sweet smelling bubbles as well as leaving your skin feeling very smooth and moisturised. If also feel that this will benefit your skin if you have fare skin which can burn easily in the summer - I am definitely a fared skinned girl. Amandopondo contains, Lemon Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, Rose Absolute and of course the Rosebud on top. Now, I have to admit, I remove the rosebud before I crumble it into the bath - the reason being I am not a fan of things floating around in my bath water (Big Blue Bath Bomb was a nightmare!). I definitely enjoy this bubble bar and I am super sad they are discontinuing it, but I think I have stocked up on these as well as still having several Rose Bubble Bars left in order to get my fill from. For the bubble bar: £2.75 - get them before they are gone.

Amandopondo Vs Rose

Seeing as these products are basically the same ingredients wise but have the differences in shape and colour I thought it would be good to do comparison of them.

1. When it comes to the colour of the bath, Rose wins over Amandopondo. Rose leaves your bath a beautiful pinky/red colour as you crumble it under the tap.

2. When it comes to scent, Amandopondo wins over Rose. What it lacks in colour is makes up for in the scent. The scent seems to last a lot longer during the bath time experience than the Rose one does.

3. When it comes to the size of the product Amandopondo wins over Rose. If you wanted to, you can use half of an Amandopondo whereas the Rose is smaller and would be hard to half it.

4. Amandopondo did have an advantage over Rose, as it was an all year round product, whereas Rose is limited addition. Unfortunately they are both now limited as Lush are discontinuing Amandopondo from the store.

5. Rose was more appealing with its design aspect, as it is shaped like the flower which made it more appealing to pick up when it was in store and online for Mother's Day. I think personally Amandopondo has been overlook because of its basic design.

Personally, I have a loyalty to both products because they have the scent which is one of my top favourites, alongside my loyal Avobath. I am very happy to have both Amandopondo and Rose Bubble Bars in my collection.

Love, Becky x
