Blogmas Day Seventeen: Christmas Adverts
As soon as Halloween is over, you are awaiting the arrival of all the Christmas Adverts - so you truly know the festive season has begun. Days before companies are hinting on twitter when the advert is going to be played. Will it be before X Factor? Should I record it just in case I miss it? It's almost as excited as Christmas Day itself. Now over the years, there has been some crackers. Here are some of my favourites.
John Lewis always pull it out the bag when it comes to Christmas Adverts. My ultimate favourite has to be the 2013, The Bear & The Hare - I love the story and the music that accompanies it. Even to this day it makes me cry.
2. Sainsbury's Advert 2014: 1914
I love this advert. It is inspired by a real event that took place on Christmas Day 1914, where the British & the Germans forgot they were fighting each other and played football. Also to mark 100 years since the First World War begun. Really moving and one of their best adverts to date I think.
3. Aldi Christmas Advert: Kevin The Carrot 2017
I love Kevin The Carrot which is the Aldi advert for this year. Its a really cute advert and it's even better they are doing merchandise in store to go alongside it.
4. M&S Christmas Advert 2017: Paddington & The Christmas Visitor
Now if you've read my blog post all about Paddington Bear, then of course the M&S Christmas Advert for 2017 has to be on my favourite list. To top it off, M&S were doing Paddington Bear ornaments - and my sister grabbed me one. It's pride of place on my tree.
5. Sky Cinema Christmas Advert 2017
This advert really sums up a traditional Christmas. When I was little The Sound of Music was on telly every year at Christmas Time - so it is was the perfect movie to advertise Sky Cinema this year. Perfect and Cozy.
Until Next Time,
Becky xxx
